the temperature for winter is 10c =14f. The temperature for summer is 14c =57.24
Rainfall is about 14-29.5 inches.
Average temperature is 10c or 14f
The coniferous forest has very cold winters and warm summers and permanetley frozen sub layer of soil.
Biotic factors:
Each category includes general description , an adaptation, and a picture
Five (5) Producers with adaptations:
One producer is algae. An adaptaion is that they can reproduce in 3 different ways.
Another producer is the conifer tree. They can survive in the coniferious forrest because they can shed snow with their pine needles.
The blackspruce tree can live in the coniferous forrest because their needles can darken the color allowing more solar heat to absorbed.
Another plant is th 'ol Evergreen tree. Their needles have a waz coating to protect and also it doesn't drop any leaves so it takes less energy through the seasons.
The last producer is a Doglas-Fir. They also have wax needles to prevent evaporation.
Three (3) Herbivores with adaptations:
The first herbivore is a beaver, they have teeth for cutting trees/woods.
The next aniamal is a Canadian Goose, they have wings to fly away from predators.
Another herbivore is a Porcupines have spikey quills to protect itself from predators.
Three (3) Carnivores with adaptations:
The first Carnivore is a weasel, their fur turn white in the winter to blend in.
The next animal is a Hawk, they have sharp beaks to kill.
The last one is a fox, they are quick so they can catch their prey.
Three (3) Omnivores with adaptations:
The first omnivore is a blcak bear they have strong muscle to kill their prey.
Another animal is a squirrel, they have powerful legs to jump around trees quickly.
The last animal is a red tail fox, they have a large brain to be smart.
